WHO WE ARE

West Texas A&M University graduates David Smith and David Terry expanded Chop Chop Rice Co. with the goal of providing its customers and community with fresh, customizable and delicious Japanese food – served fast. The first location opened in Amarillo in 2004, followed by Lubbock and Canyon in 2015. After enjoying success with the first three locations, and creating systems and processes that would allow the brand to succeed in other markets, Smith and Terry made the decision to start franchising in 2016.

The brand’s core values are what make it a standout concept. Chop Chop Rice Co. is in the ‘people’ business, with the goal of creating an atmosphere that is consistent and fun where everyone enjoys great food at an incredible value.
